We currently accept credit card or debit card payments from MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. We also accept Affirm, PayPal, and Apple Pay online only.

Sales tax is calculated based on the laws of the state to which you are shipping your order, and depends on whether there is a Brahmin employee presence in that particular state. Sales tax will be displayed on the checkout screen. We do not charge sales tax on the purchase of gift cards, but items paid for with gift cards are subject to taxation.

A credit card authorization will be placed on your card as soon as your order is accepted. Your credit card will be officially charged once your order is shipped. Once we have verified your credit card details and received credit authorization, we’ll prepare your order for shipping and charge the full amount upon shipping. Please allow up to two business days to prepare your order for shipment.

  • Brahmin is happy to offer the option to pre-order select new styles that are not yet available to ship. The estimated shipping date will be indicated once you've placed the item in your shopping cart. 
  • Pre-order products are susceptible to unforeseen processing delays, so we cannot guarantee dates for these items. All orders are processed pending item availability and credit card verification. You will receive an email from our Customer Service team if there are any issues with your order.

Yes, the factory will be closed for the Holidays from December 25 through January 1, returning January 2, 2024. During this time our returns department will be closed and refunds will resume the week of January 2nd.

Here’s how it works: you order, we process your order, then we ship your package to you.

Ordering takes a few seconds. Processing takes 2 to 4 business days (and orders placed after 1pm ET are processed the next business day). Then our shipping carrier, UPS, takes it from there. You’ll get a shipment notification email with a tracking number as soon as your package ships.

Brahmin offers international shipping to Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom with UPS. By placing an international order, you acknowledge that your transaction will be with UPS. Your customer service needs will be handled directly by Brahmin.

Your BRAHMINREWARDS status is determined by how much you spend on within a 12-month period (after promotions, and before taxes and any shipping charges are applied) when you check out with the email address that’s registered to your account.

If an item is returned, the points earned for that purchase will be deducted from your account. If the returned purchase had qualified you to enter a new tier status, that will also be forfeited. But your next qualifying purchase will bump you back up!

If rewards dollars are used for the order, the value of your rewards dollars will not be returned if you make a return.

Upon registering your handbag, Brahmin will warranty your purchase against workmanship and structural defects for one full year from date of purchase. A two year warranty is extended if you self-register online.

When sending an item in for repairs, a valid sales receipt must be included to show your product was purchased within the warranty period. Once your product is inspected and a manufacturer’s defect is found, we will repair or replace your product with the same style if available or a style of equal value based on the purchase price stated on the receipt.

Brahmin reserves the right to exclude any damage caused by negligence and/or normal wear and tear. We do not guarantee or warranty any item purchased through a third party unauthorized dealer.

Please contact Customer Service for assistance ordering a replacement strap. Custom orders can take up to 6 weeks to receive and are final sale.

We're happy to accept most Brahmin handbags and accessories for refurbishing services. However, we do require the inside lining of any used item to be reasonably clean in order to refurbish. Depending on the condition of the used item, it may be beyond the refurbishment process, in which case the item will be returned to you as is. Please follow repair instructions to send your bag in for refurbishment. For instructions on how to send your bag in for refurbishment, please visit our Repair Page. Please note: There will be a nominal fee of $40 provided that the item is in fact repairable. Once our team assesses your item, you will be contacted with our recommendations.

No, we do not price match items that go on sale after you’ve placed your order. 

At Brahmin, we want your handbag to feel comfortable and fit your style. Most of our straps are adjustable to create a desired strap drop length. Follow the simple instructions below to adjust your strap as needed. You may also CLICK HERE to watch a video detailing the steps to adjust your strap.

  1. Start by sliding the leather loop over the collar button to the opposite side of the strap. Force the button out of the strap hole (there is a small slit above the hole that may need to be pried open a bit to help remove the button).
  2. Bring the end of the strap up to the hole where you would like to adjust it. Our basic strap will allow you to double over the entire strap for a much shorter, shoulder bag look.
  3. Push the button through the hole, and slide the leather loop back over the collar button to where the strap now attaches to the handbag. Adjust the opposite side of the strap if needed.

All of our products are made with genuine cowhide leather, unless otherwise stated. We refer to our signature Melbourne leather as "croc-embossed". We create our signature croc and exotic textures using a special plate embossing technique. Other materials used may include coated canvas, suede, hair-on leather, and more. The leather we select is primarily Texas Steer or Italian. In the effort of maximizing sustainability and minimizing waste, we work exclusively with farm animals considered suitable for meat, meaning each cow is used in its entirety.


Our traditional chamois lining is 70% polyester, 25% viscose and 5% cotton.


Our jacquard lining is a custom jacquard fabric, woven exclusively for Brahmin. It is 54% Poly and 46% Recycle Poly.

Melbourne is the collection name of our signature croc-embossed leathers, which are custom-embossed using a special plate technique to mimic the appearance of a crocodile.

Our leather conditioner is all natural and oil based. The full ingredient list for the leather conditioner is proprietary.

While our hardware is lead-free, some of our hardware does contain nickel plated elements. All of our hardware is in compliance with California's Proposition 65.

We use mixed-metal hardware on all of our items which are all plated and lacquered according to our designer’s specification. Yearly audits ensure that our hardware is Proposition 65 compliant based on industry standard.

In addition to your shipping times, please allow 5-7 additional business days for monogramming services. 

Express shipping is not available for engraved items.

An additional charge of $10.00 per item will be added to the purchase.

It is important to note that once engraved, the item is final sale. No returns or exchanges will be accepted for any engraved items.

Handbags with light or brushed gold hanging medallions and journals can be engraved. You can shop all engravable styles here:

Handbags with a nickel finish, Tassel key Rings, Handbags and Accessories without a hanging medallion.

On handbags, the monogram will be engraved on the back of the hanging medallion. On journals, the monogram will be engraved on the gold plaque located on the bottom left corner.

Items can only be engraved at the time of purchase. Previously purchased items cannot be sent back for monogramming services.

At this time, only uppercase letters are available for engraving services. Lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters are not included.

There is a maximum of three letters per engraving.
