Volunteer Week 2022

In honor of National Volunteer Week (April 17-23, 2022) we’re partnering with our friends at the Happy Hope Foundation and Reach Out & Read.

Celebrating National Volunteer Week with the Happy Hope Foundation and Reach Out & Read

In honor of National Volunteer Week (April 17-23rd) we’re supporting our friends at the Happy Hope Foundation and Reach Out & Read via virtual volunteer events. Our focus this week is helping promote children’s literacy. Both of these organizations work to foster a love of reading in children by finding creative ways to bring stories to families and children from all economic backgrounds.

What we’re doing

Working with: the Happy Hope Foundation

The mission of Happy Hope Foundation is to boost the hope of hospitalized and homeless children by providing them with a virtual library full of their favorite books. Our employees will be recording themselves reading the children’s books of their choice and uploading it to the virtual library for children to enjoy. The library is free of charge and aims to make reading more accessible to all children.

If you’re interested in volunteering with them, visit the link below to learn more.

Working with: Reach Out & Read

Reach Out & Read works to share the power of reading with children and families of all economic backgrounds. Their mission is to make reading part of their daily lives and provide them with a foundation for success. Brahmin employees are getting involved by donating books from their wishlist.

Books our team will be Reading

The Brahmin Employee Resource Group has shared some favorite books with our team. These share stories that are culturally diverse so that all children have the opportunity to identify with and find inspiration from the stories being read.
