How do I care for my handbag?
Care for your leather handbag
Use Brahmin leather protector before use and once a month to protect, moisturize and clean the leather on your handbag. Apply a small dime size amount of protector onto a soft clean cloth. Rub into the leather, taking special care with any scratched areas. Then buff off the excess with a soft clean cloth. For dimples and small dents, rub behind the affected area with your hand on the inside of the bag. We highly recommend use of Brahmin leather protector for Brahmin bags and only guarantee our product. We have not tested other brands of protector. Be sure to store your bag in its Brahmin Storage Bag when not in use.
Care for your fabric handbag
All of our fabric bags are specially treated for stain resistance. For leather portions of your fabric handbag use Brahmin Leather Conditioner before use and once a month to protect, moisturize and clean the leather on your handbag. Use caution when applying the leather conditioner. Avoid getting conditioner on fabric areas. For all fabric areas of your handbag on all collections except the Harbor Collections, use baby wipes to clean any dirt or stains. For the Harbor Collections dab fabric with a damp cloth. Do not rub. Removing grease or oily spots is difficult. Try applying talcum powder liberally to effected area. Let powder sit for 24 hours, then softly brush off. Be sure to store your bag in its Brahmin Storage Bag when not in use.
Care for your suede handbag
Avoid water, food and oily substances with your bag. If suede should get wet, remove all contents and allow to air dry naturally. To keep suede in good condition brush with a soft suede brush (available at most shoe repair stores) every 3 to 4 months to remove dirt and renew the nap. Removing grease or oily spots can be difficult. Try applying talcum powder liberally to effected area. Let powder sit for 24 hours, then softly brush off. Be sure to store your bag in its Brahmin Storage Bag when not in use.
